SEQUENCIVE and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology have launched namya at a ceremony, under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and with the esteemed presence of Prof. Sir Edward Byren AC, KAUST President, and Mr. Mohammed AlMadhi Chair & CEO of SEQUENCIVE Holding.

The technology reflects namya’s approach of translating scientific research into practical agricultural solutions that improve productivity and resource efficiency, contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The launch also supports the Kingdom's food security priorities. By helping crops make better use of limited water and nutrients, namya offers farmers a practical, science-based way to strengthen local food production and enhance agricultural productivity. In doing so, namya contributes to advancing a more resilient and resource-efficient agricultural sector in the Kingdom.

namya’s first product, Plantiva, has been developed from more than a decade of research in plant biology, including research on zaxinone. The product is designed to help farmers increase crop yields while reducing the need for fertilizers and improving water-uptake efficiency. Its development is supported by numerous successful agricultural trials conducted across a range of strategic crops, including potatoes, wheat, Saudi coffee, Taif roses, millet, and others.

This launch stands as a testament to the support provided by the Ministry represented by its Research and Innovation Deputyship, enabling namya to benefit from regulatory sandbox to facilitate product launch and support the commercialization of research and technology, contributing to a more sustainable and climate resilient agricultural sector in the Kingdom.

With this launch, namya is commencing large-scale commercial applications with a number of agricultural companies in the Kingdom and internationally.

تفخر سيكونسيف وجامعة الملك عبدالله للعلوم والتقنية بإطلاق شركة نامية برعاية كريمة من معالي وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن بن عبدالمحسن الفضلي، وحضور كل من سعادة البروفيسور إدوارد بيرن رئيس جامعة الملك عبدالله والأستاذ محمد الماضي رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لسيكونسيف القابضة.

نامية هي شركة سعودية متخصصة بإنتاج المحفزات الحيوية القائمة على الابتكار والبحث العلمي، لتعزيز الزراعة المستدامة ودعم الأمن الغذائي في المملكة وحول العالم، مما يسهم في بناء اقتصاد معرفي لتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية 2030.

حيث أطلقت الشركة أول منتجاتها "بلانتيفا"، والتي تمكن المزارعين من زيادة الإنتاج مع تقليل الحاجة إلى الأسمدة وزيادة كفاءة امتصاص المياه. وترتكز هذه المنتجات على أكثر من عقد من الأبحاث في بيولوجيا النبات تم خلالها إجراء العديد من التجارب الزراعية الناجحة على عدد من المحاصيل الاستراتيجية، مثل: البطاطس والقمح والقهوة السعودية والورد الطائفي والدخن وغيرها من المحاصيل.

"نؤمن في سيكونسيف بأن العلم يحقق كامل قيمته عندما يتم نقله من المختبر إلى السوق. وتحول نامية الأبحاث العلمية في جامعة الملك عبدالله للعلوم والتقنية التي استمرت لأكثر من عقد إلى منتج تجاري يساعد المزارعين على تحقيق محصول أكبر بموارد أقل. ويجسد هذا التدشين ما يمكن أن تحققه جهود تتجير التقنيات، والاستثمار بها، والشراكات الحكومية عند تكاملها، كما يمثل بداية مرحلة جديدة لتوسيع نطاق التقنيات الزراعية السعودية وتطبيقها في مختلف أنحاء المملكة وخارجها".

ويأتي هذا الإطلاق كشاهد على دعم وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة، متمثلة في وكالة البحث والابتكار، وتمكين نامية من الاستفادة من البيئة التنظيمية التجريبية لتسهيل إطلاق المنتج ودعم تتجير التقنيات والأبحاث العلمية بما يسهم بتمكين زراعة مستدامة ومقاومة للتحديات المناخية في المملكة.

ومع هذا الإطلاق تبدأ الشركة بإجراء تطبيقات تجارية واسعة النطاق مع عدد من الشركات الزراعية في المملكة وخارجها.
